The Ruffian carbine
Someone had the great idea of putting together a quality lever action rifle with a chinese mauser- pistol, and created a weapon that is actually very suited to the post-apocalyptic wastes. It retains the reliability of the chinese pistol, but keeps the oh-so-needed stopping power of the lever action rifle(it fires a .44 Magnum round) that just isn't found in most other antiquated weapons in the same size and weight range. As the name suggests, it has definitely been used, either for hunting game(and even to hunt bounties) and other various tasks that the outdoorsman may need to perform.
